I noticed a (relatively) high turnover of staff in a company that is known for seldom hiring and promoting from within. Specifically, In five years they've taken on three new sound designers. Only one has been promoted from within which, for this company, is unusual. I wonder if this means that newer, younger, sound designers don't have the skills that this company is looking for, and if so what this means in terms of educating sound professional. Or, Is it a failing in the recruitment process and, if so, have they changed anything in how they are recruiting?
