PIPINII: A Conceptual Framework for Designing Soundscapes in Museum is a statement on the practical and theoretical implications of studying soundscape design in museums, and outlines the scope of the work to be done from a conceptual perspective.
PIPINII highlights seven elements influencing soundscape design in museums, in order to successfully execute the aims and objectives of museums and satisfy the needs of visitors. This research sets out to address some of the challenges that face museums from an "audio first" perspective. It also aims to establish theoretical and practical boundaries around which sound designers and sound artists can create work in consort with curators, interpreters, and others.
